1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user’s device, whether a computer, tablet or smartphone. They remain stored on the device and are sent back to the same site on subsequent visits. They are used to make the site work properly, to improve the browsing experience and to collect statistical information on usage.
2. Data controller

3. Cookies we use
Technical (necessary) cookies. These are essential for the site to function properly and do not require prior consent, as provided for by Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority. They include, for example, the cookies needed to remember cookie preferences and to ensure the security and stability of the site.

Browser identifier. The technical cookie pcdue_consent also contains a random code for this browser. It appears in the banner and in the panel, and can be copied. Its only purpose is to retrieve the cookie choice. It does not track browsing on other sites and is not a profiling code.
Animation preference. If you press the “Pause animations” button, or the same option in the Accessibility panel, the site saves this choice in the browser (local storage) so that it is remembered on subsequent visits. It contains no personal data and can be deleted from the browser settings.
Accessibility preferences. Using the button at the bottom left, you can enlarge the text, choose light or dark contrast, underline links, increase spacing, pause animations, make the keyboard focus more visible and use a simpler font. The choice is kept in this browser (local storage), applies to every page and every screen size, is not a cookie and contains no personal data.
MyBot assistant. The chat window is loaded from mybot.pcdue.com, a PCDUE domain, and saves the current conversation and a technical identifier in the browser (local storage), so that the conversation can be resumed when changing page. These are not statistical or profiling cookies and can be deleted from the browser settings.
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics. Only with consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and understand which pages are viewed, in order to improve their content. The Google Analytics script is loaded only after consent is given: before that, no data is sent to Google. Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled.

Transfer of data outside the European Union. Data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023.
Profiling and third-party cookies. The site does not use advertising profiling cookies or third-party social plugins such as Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag. Any future changes will involve updating this policy and requesting fresh consent.
4. How to manage cookie preferences
On the first visit, a banner allows you to:
- accept all non-essential cookies
- reject non-essential cookies
- customise preferences by category
Closing the banner with the X rejects non-essential cookies. Until a choice is made, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Preferences can be changed at any time from the cookie management panel, which can be opened with the button at the bottom left or with the Cookie preferences link in the footer. In the same place, next to the cookie button, you can open the accessibility preferences.
If consent is withdrawn, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted from this browser.
