1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user’s device, whether it is a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. They remain stored on the device and are sent again to the same site during subsequent visits. They serve to make the site work correctly, to improve the browsing experience and to collect statistical information on usage.

3. Which cookies we use

Technical cookies (necessary). They are essential to the correct operation of the site and do not require prior consent, as provided for by Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Codice Privacy) and by the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). They include, for example, the cookies needed to remember cookie preferences and to ensure the security and stability of the site.

Browser identifier. The technical cookie pcdue_consent also contains a random code for this browser. It is shown in the banner and in the panel, and it can be copied. It only serves to refer back to the cookie choice. It does not follow browsing on other sites and it is not a profiling code.

Animation preference. If you press the “Pause animations” button, or the same option in the Accessibility panel, the site saves this choice in your browser (local storage) to remember it on later visits. It contains no personal data and can be deleted from your browser settings.

Accessibility preferences. From the button at the bottom left you can enlarge the text, choose light or dark contrast, underline links, increase spacing, pause animations, make keyboard focus easier to see and use a clearer typeface. The choice stays in this browser (local storage), applies on every page and every screen size, is not a cookie and contains no personal data.

Analytics, profiling and third-party cookies. The site does not use analytics cookies, advertising profiling cookies or third-party social plugins, such as Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag. Any future changes will entail the updating of this policy and, where required, a request for consent.

4. How to manage cookie preferences

On the first visit, a banner allows you to:

• accept all non-essential cookies
• refuse non-essential cookies
• customise preferences by category

Preferences can be changed at any time from the cookie management panel, which can be reached from the button at the bottom left or from the Cookie preferences link in the footer. The same spot, next to the cookie button, opens accessibility preferences.
